Portrait Session - Elena

A long overdue Portrait Studio Session with my friend Elena! We eventually managed to make time for it! As she and her partner visited me here in Saffron Walden, where all the magic happens.

In order to create that magic, I had to set up some softboxes, some backdrops, oh... I might get a bit too technical now, again... Was trying to say that I was preparing all the staff needed for the session, placing the lights, securing the backdrops.

Elena arrived first as her partner was cycling. Oh dear, some fourteen miles or so. Brave guy! Well done! Don't count me in. We talked quite a bit, before taking the pictures. As she works in marketing she had some nice advice to give me regarding my website. Yes, my website is going to be getting a bit of reworking at some point. But I was talking about a portrait session!

Sometime later, after catching up, we started taking pictures. The session went very well. I admit I am not trying to pose the models too much. I leave them to do whatever they feel best, show the camera how they are. At rare times I might ask them to try to do this or that. Rarely.

Before we knew it, a few hours flew by, time flies when you are having fun! And I do enjoy taking pictures and talking, well, I enjoy more taking pictures than talking. At times. Or am I?

At the end of the post, I am adding a few pictures from the Portrait Session. I really like the results, and she does too. That makes me happy!
